Kraftwork Vehicle Refinishing are able to carry out a number of cosmetic repairs, such as bonnet refinishing, bumper scuffs, stone chips, scratches and dents.
Cosmetic damage is a term we use to describe non structural damage on a vehicle. For example, if a car was in an accident with another car at twenty miles an hour, the damage to both vehicles would probably be more structural like chassis damage, panel mis-alingment, etc. Whereas if a vehicle was to scrape a wall then these scratches would only be cosmetic and not affect the vehicle's drive ability.

A rough estimation would be:
- To repair and paint the door £199.00 + vat
- To blend the front door £125.00 + vat
- To blend the rear quarter panel £99.00 + vat
Estimate total £423.00 + vat

"I am visiting your website on advice from New Again. The previous owners of my would-be decent looking Saxo don't appear to have been all too careful drivers. Three areas of damage were made by them (and admittedly one small area by myself), and they are getting a bit unsightly. As a student I cannot afford big expenses for repairs, let alone running the car itself so this is an enquiry just to get a realistic idea. It appears on the tailgate that a poor attempt was made to knock the damage out. To me the damage seems fairly minor and not too difficult to fix - but that's for the experts to decide!."... Thank you for your enquiry, yes i believe we can repair your tailgate the rough estimation would be :
- Labour: £174.30
- Paint & materials: £74.70
Total £249.00 + vat + parts
Parts needed are rear badges, the reason for this is because we dont mask around these and once you remove them its better to replace rather than try and re-glue.

"I rang on Monday to say that I had dented my Volvo S60 on the rear door (driver's side) whilst parking. The dent is approximately a foot long and an inch deep - see photo. Could you provide me with an indication of cost to repair?" Click here to read our reply |
||
Good Morning Joel,
We would need to see the door up close to see if it can be repaired, if it can then we will also need to blend the paint into the front door and rear quarter panel for a colour match.
This would roughly cost £485.00 + vat + parts
Parts needed are the plastic grey door mouldings.
Please note if we need to change the door i will need a chassis number in order to get prices, but you could be looking at roughly £549.00 + vat + parts

"Hi, I would be grateful if you could advise me on approximate costs for repairing damage to the offside rear bodywork/door on my VW Golf, there is a dent in part of the wheel arch and obvious scratching. Many Thanks Matthew Wood"

Hi Matthew,
This is a little bit hard to price as im not sure how far in the arch is, and i cant tell whether the door shut would also need painting or not? but to give you an idea:
- To repair and paint the rear quarter panel and rear door £399.00 + vat
- + an additional £125.00 + vat if we need to blend the paint into the front door
- + an additional £99.00 + vat if we need to paint inside the door shut area
I have tried to price every option but it may be better if we could see the car and then i will try and give you the best possible price.

Sent to New Again: "Based in South London. Haven't a clue how this happened but found two dents, one deep, in the section just above the front passenger window just below roof level.
There is a small amount of paint lost.
Could you give me an idea of work involved/cost pls?" Click here to read our reply |

That's a tricky one. We have about a thirty percent chance of removing that using Paintless Dent Removal, then the chip could be just touched in . So I would recommend you go straight to a good bodyshop like Kraftwork who we use. Have read of this page, then go through the link and give them a call with your question number. Thats not an expensive repair for a body shop. I would guess around £149 plus vat."
Our Estimate
Hi Richard, Gary has got this spot on we would need to repair and paint the pillar, to do this would cost £149.00 + vat
Regards, Davide

Yes we can repair this by repairing and painting the rear quarter panel and door properly, to do this we would charge £324.00 + vat and an additional £99 + vat if we needed to paint inside the door shut area.
We guarantee all our work for three years and would need the car for three days.

"I would like a quote to repair damaged rear right wheel arch as shown in picture from Mazda 3 estate" Click here to read our reply |
||
Our Estimate
To repair this properly we would also need to blend the paint into the rear door and bumper corner, otherwise we cannot guarantee a colour match.
- To repair and paint the rear quarter panel would cost £234.00 + vat
- To blend the paint into the rear door would cost £125.00 + vat
- To blend the paint into the rear bumper corner would be £99.00 + vat
Please note these are rough figures estimated via photos, we maybe able to save you money once we have seen the car, we are more than happy to just repair and paint the quarter panel at £234.00 + vat but cannot guarantee a colour match and recommend that you blend into the adjacent panels.

"Can you please give a quote on how much it would cost to repair the dent on my back left hand wheel arch? I have attached pictures. The car is a Kia Proceed." Click here to read our reply |
||
Our Estimate
Hi Pablo,
I am assuming that the damage is on the drivers side rear quarter panel closer to the back of the car, if this is so then to repair and paint the panel would cost £199.00 + vat.

"I have a large dent in the bumper of my nissan micra and was wondering if it is possible to repair and roughly how much it would cost me. Thanks, Lauren." Click here to read our reply |
||
Our Estimate
Yes we can repair this bumper and you have two options:
- Option 1: repair and paint just the bumper corner £149.00 + vat
- Option 2: repair and paint bumer corner and blend the paint into the drivers side front wing £275.00 + vat
We suggest option 2 otherwise we cannot guarantee a colour match and the bumper corner could come out looking a little darker when finished, this is sometimes ok as on some cars the bumpers never match 100% from the factory.
We would need the car for 2 full days and ask for a £50 deposit upfront to book any vehicle in.

Our Estimate
To repair this properly we would need to repair and paint the rear door and quarter panel, then blend the paint into the front door for a colour match. The blend is optional but we cannot guarantee a colour match without it.
This would cost £375.00 + VAT for the door and quarter panel plus £125.00 +VAT for the front door blend.
